Masala Poori
1. 2 Cups wheat flour
2. Some mint leaves, coriander leaves &1 green chilli (made as coarse paste)
3. ¼ tsp turmeric
4. ¼ tsp kashmiri chilli powder
5. ½ tsp ajwain(palm-crushed)
6. A pinch of garam masala
7. Salt to taste
8. Water as Required
For Making Masala Poori Dough
1. In a mixing bowl add
· 2 Cups wheat flour
· Some mint leaves, coriander leaves &1 green chilli (made as coarse paste)
· ¼ tsp turmeric
· ¼ tsp kashmiri chili powder
· ½ tsp ajwain( hand-crushed )
· A pinch of garam masala
· Salt to taste
· 2 tsp oil
And mix it well. Now add water little by little and knead into a stiff dough & rest it for 10 minutes by covering the bowl.
2. Remember that the Poori dough should be neither soft nor too hard. So be careful with water quantity.
For Making Masala Poori
2. Now in a kadai add required amount of oil for deep frying.
3. Once the oil is heated immerse the poori in the oil, press on top till it puffs up then flip over and cook.
Note:
1. If the oil is overheated it will soon become brown outside but will not get cooked inside.
2. So oil should be slightly higher than the medium heat.
