Healthy Juice Tips

1st I’m making it very clear that I’m not a health professional / nutrition/dietitian.

I write tips here based on what I learnt from professionals.

People with some health conditions can’t consume some fruits. So kindly follow the guidance given by your doctor/nutrition/dietitian.

In summer most of us consume juice. Here are a few tips to make/have a healthy juice along with a few pieces of information about juice.

No doubt that consuming fresh fruits as a whole or in pieces has more health benefits and contains fiber.

Here the juice I meant is fresh homemade juice using fresh fruits.

Tips for a making healthy juice

1.     1st important thing is to know the sugar content and calories of the fruit. If it’s high in both or in any 1. Then watch out for the portion size you consume.

2.     Mainly, elders and people with pre-diabetic or diabetic conditions and people who are in weight loss, all these category people should mainly watch out for the portion size they consume.

3.     Don’t add any kind of sweeteners to your juice. Not even honey too. Because fruits by themselves have sugar in the name of fructose.  So, adding additional sugar will spike your glucose level only.

4.     use a big mesh strain to strain that juice and using a spoon squeeze/ press the pulp well so that the pulp will also get filtered and mixed with the juice. Only any seeds/ skin/ rough particles should be thrown away as waste.

5.     Straining like this will help us retain all the nutrients and some amount of fiber as well. Because pulp also has nutrients and fiber.

6.     Apart from the summer season, the juice has been advised to consume mainly by people facing digestive issues. and people who are unwell.

7.     Juice helps our body in absorbing all the essential vitamins and minerals in an easy way for people who are unwell and facing digestive issues.

8.     Consuming juice on a daily basis even without adding any kind of sugar will also lead to diabetes, because of the fructose molecular present in it.

9.     As the saying says “Too much of anything is bad” Consume juice in minimal quantity and not on daily basis.
