Paneer Butter Masala


INGREDIENTS
1. 250 grams paneer
2. 1 medium onions (roughly chopped)
3. 12-15 cashew nuts
4. 3 medium tomatoes
5. 2 tbsp Butter
6. ¼ tps turmeric powder
7. Red Chili Powder(based on your spice level)
8. 1 tps Kashmiri Red Chili Powder(for colour)
9. ½ tps Garam Masala Powder
10. 2 tbps Fresh Cream (or) 3tbps boiled full cream milk
11. 2 tsp Kasuri Methi (dry fenugreek leaves)
12. Salt to taste
13. ½ tsp sugar


Preparation of paneer butter masala:

1.    Heat a pan by adding water. In the boiling water add
·         1 medium onion (roughly chopped)
·         12-15 cashew nuts
·         3 medium tomatoes (by making 4 cross spilt on the top)


          Allow it to boil for 5 minutes.

2.    Drain the water and allow it to cool. Transfer the boiled ingredients into a mixer jar and make a fine paste.

3.    Now heat a pan and add 2tbps of butter, once butter melts add the blended paste and sauté it for 5 – 7 minutes till the raw smell goes.

4.      Once the raw smell of the paste is gone add
·   ¼ tsp turmeric powder
·   Red Chili Powder(based on your spice level)
·   1 tsp Kashmiri Red Chili Powder(for colour)
·   ½  tsp Garam Masala Powder
·         Salt to taste
Sauté it for 1- 2 minutes.

5.     After 2 minutes add paneer cubes and allow it to cook for 4 – 5 minutes

6.    Finally, before switching off the stove add
·         2 tbsp Fresh Cream (or) 3tbps boiled full cream milk 
·         2 tsp Kasuri Methi by crushing it in the hand. (dry fenugreek leaves)
·         ½  tsp sugar
Just give 1 boil and turn off the stove now.

7.    Now delicious Paneer Butter Masala is ready to be served with roti, chapatti, nan, fried rice or with ghee rice.
